WHY?

Long hours and long days all running together, seemingly with no beginning and no end, leaving me drained and questioning why? The promise of a life, a future, a world just beginning, ending all to soon. Why? What makes this day, any different than the day before? What is it that makes this day the last day? Life and death and all the what if's that go along with it. Never any answers only questions of why, but when you find yourself, holding in your hands the head of a dead teenager . . . how can there not be questions of why?

Stephen - the why's answer themselves when you look at the why nots... and you learn to answer because... when that happens, life gets a bit easier...

For what it is worth...

jeff, hypoxic, spider, you all are so right, like jeff said, a perfect creator would not have left the why's unanswered but I guess we don't live in a perfect world and there is no such thing as a perfect creator. When I stood there looking down at this young lifeless body lying on the stretcher, his head in my hands, there was nothing I could do but wonder why. I know, death is a part of life and usually it doesn't brother me, I cannot allow it to, but this one found its way into my heart.

Hey, Seems that Life is a bit hard at the Moment. For me it always help to have a Helicopter view. Best of Wishes.

Tragedies of youth do tend to make one more introspective.

Hang in there, Stephen.

picasso's corner, usually I manage the Helicopter view very well, showing feelings but maintaining a degree of detachment if you know what I mean, but this one was different, such a waste, but things are better, thank you for the kind words.

brad, I guess I have more questions of why, more compassion, and a harder time when the life is so young, the promise of a future taken away, but that's is all part of living and dying, we humans are remarkable machines but oh so fragile at the same time, thanks for the well wishes, much appreciated.

Somehow the loss of a young life will never makes sense. No answer to the WHY? ever rings true. Very tragic. You are in my thoughts Stephen
